Application for Red Bird MPhil Program of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)

The College of Future Technology (CFT), responsible for the education of HKUST(GZ)’s MPhil (Master of Philosophy) students, includes the Base of Red Bird MPhil, the Lab of Future Technology, and the Red Bird Maker Space. As the only institution of its kind in the world, CFT is a pioneer in developing a cutting-edge curriculum. CFT has designed a comprehensive education system that integrates the core principles of cross-disciplinary and active project-based learning. This innovative system aims to enhance students’ academic and transferable skills.

The Educational Project Management System (EPMS) is the platform to propose, manage, and apply to join RBM Educational Projects.

The Student Career Development System (SCDS) provides career education to foster an appropriate career outlook, enhance student skills and competitiveness, thereby promoting high-quality career development.

The Red Bird MPhil Program is a Master of Philosophy Program designed by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) to achieve the goal of cultivating “Compound innovative and entrepreneurial talents”. The program explores a student-centered interdisciplinary education paradigm through guided learning, creating an optimal growth environment for future strategic engineers and scientists to discover themselves, unleash their potential, and continuously improve their abilities.

The Red Bird Maker Space is a practical platform built by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) for integrating interdisciplinary project-based teaching. It consists of three classrooms and five workshops, with a total area of over 9200 ㎡, accommodating approximately 800 students for practical teaching.
